Formation and development prospects of Chinese transnational banks

The article summarizes the main development stages of Chinese transnational banks (TNB). The author shows how the banking system of China has to adapt to the transition of the country to an open economy. The paper deals with the aspects of globalization of the world financial market, describes the challenges Chinese TNB face on the way to the global financial market, and defines their place in this process.
