The article discusses issues of Russian-Mongolian cooperation in higher education and science in case of Irkutsk Polytechnic Institute (now - National Research Irkutsk State Technical University). The training process and facts of engineering and administration personnel preparation for Mongolia in Irkutsk University in 1960-1990s are analyzed on the basis of archival materials and publications.
