Forming of Texans and Kuban Cossacks’ ethnic groups: comparative historical analysis

The article compares how the indigenous people influenced the forming of the Texans and Kuban Cossacks as ethnic groups during the first period of colonization before the actual consolidation of the lands of the withstand cultures within one country, either the USA or in Russian Empire. The undertaken research shows the main general features and distinctions of the colonization in the Texas and the Black Sea region, the reasons of these differences, as well as their impact on the relations with the indigenous people.
