Formation of ethnocultural competence of pupils when training in mathematics

The article reveals the pedagogical potential of teaching mathematics in the development of ethno-cultural competence of students who do not speak Russian. Research of ethnocultural competence is based on the principles of inclusiveness, integration, his-toricism and ethnicization in teaching mathematics. Firstly, goals of mastering the competencies are established. I.e. skills, the ability to perform a particular type of activity, where knowledge is not canceled, but the approach to knowledge is changed: only knowledge which is necessary for the formation of a certain competence. Secondly, main feature of the competence approach is focused on the transition from the banal to the level assessment. At the same time, the activity approach in learning is seen as a synthetic training activity including not only cognitive but also meta-cognitive functions motivation, volitional efforts, relationships based on the same values and emotional development. On the example of cyclic Buryat chronology, it is are considered some features of formation ethnocultural competence of children.
