Formation of combinatorial actions in primary school

The aim of the study was to determine the conditions for the formation of combinatorial actions in elementary school, in particular, among second-graders. The hypothesis was that classes according to the author's program "Combination-1" creates the required conditions. The program includes 16 types of search problems of non-educational content. Each type of problem has three structural variants associated with the search for an answer, the search for a question, and the search for part of the initial conditions. The implementation of these options involves the implementation of combinatorial actions. The control group included 52 students, the experimental group - 56 students who participated in 16 group lessons (weekly, from January to May). The initial and final diagnostics of the formation of combinatorial actions was carried out. The study showed that the lessons "Combination-1" contribute to the formation of combinatorial actions in children. In further research, it is planned to determine the extent to which the Combination-1 program contributes to the formation of combinatorial actions in third-graders and fourth-graders.
