Formation of communication skills in students under the conditions of the developmental environment of REC ISEDT RAS

This article focuses on one of the major problems of our time - the development of communicative skills in students in educational environment. The article substantiates the relevance of the issue and the importance of educational environment in the formation of communication skills. The authors consider theoretical approaches to the dejinition of “communication skills”, “developmental environment of an educational institution”. They dejine a framework of developmental environment and show that developmental environment of an educational institution includes a spatial-semantic, conceptual and methodological, communication and organizational components that have a direct impact on the development of communication skills in students. The Research-and-Educational Center for Economics and Information Technology at the Institute of Socio-Economic Development of Territories of the Russian Academy of Sciences carries out extracurricular education, which is represented by a full-time elective course in economics. In the framework of this elective course the group for psycho-pedagogical support implements a set of activities aimed to develop communicative abilities in schoolchildren. The Research-and-ducational Center carries out a diagnostic study “Communication and organization aptitudes” during the whole education period: “at the input” (8 grade) and “at the output” (11 grade). The purpose is to reveal and assess the changes in the formation of the studied aptitudes. The article presents in detail the results of the diagnostics and dynamics of the studied qualities. The article makes a conclusion that the Research-and-Educational Center for Economics and Information Technology at the Institute of Socio-Economic Development of Territories of the Russian Academy of Sciences has a positive dynamics in the development of practical communication skills, which generally confirms the productivity of developmental environment at the Research-and- Educational Center, which is one of the factors in the successful formation of communication skills.
