The formation of the local northern text in the literature of Yakutia: its structure and cultural code

This article proposes to introduce the concept of “Northern text of the literature of Yakutia” into scientific circulation in addition to the existing classification of local texts. Based on the understanding of culture or locality as a text, the process of continuous interaction of creative imagination and the natural landscape, typological features are characterized, the components are identified and the criteria for highlighting the local Northern text are identified, the semantic core of which being the literature of the indigenous peoples of the North of Yakutia (Yukagir, Even, Evenki, Dolgan), as well as that part of the works of Yakut and other authors, which reflects the value essence of the image of the North as a geographical place. The uniqueness of this text is emphasized, since it is formed around a real locus and a self-sufficient cultural myth of the Far North in various contexts, which we consider as an interpreting cultural code, the core of overtext and the non-artistic reality of the Northern text. The author suggests an algorithm for analyzing this local text by taking into account its geocultural specificity. The system of intra-and extra-textual links of this local text as a overtext is revealed and described, common features that determine the unity of meaning and means of its expression (semantic and semiotic invariants, basic symbol signs and local myths of the territory, the literary myth of the northern nomads that underlies ethnocentric models of the world, key motifs and images, features of macro- and micro-poetics of narrative and spatial structures, features of the expression of the author’s “I”); the general picture is given about the conceptual sphere of the Northern text as a sign system and conclusions are drawn about the conceptual picture of the world at the thematic, plot-compositional, motif-shaped levels of the text as a combination of spatial and mental representations of the Far North.
