Quite a lot of time is devoted to solving word problems in the mathematics course. Not all primary school students have the skills to solve word problems even at a basic level. This especially applies to problems involving constructing a mathematical model, which causes considerable difficulties for schoolchildren. The main goals of teaching mathematics are: developing the construction of mathematical thinking by teaching students to solve problems with practical content, developing the skills of constructing mathematical models of simple phenomena of reality; research of requirements according to the models that are specified; creating a model application; introducing schoolchildren to creative activities.
