The formation of students’ worldview as one of general cultural competences

Problem and purpose. Federal state educational standards of higher education indicate the ability of students to use the basics of philosophical knowledge as the leading general cultural competence to form a worldview. As the analysis of the accumulated pedagogical experience shows, the theoretical and practical study of this topic is to this day only at the initial stage of its formation. The purpose of the article is to reflect the author,s approach to the disclosure of the topic about the formation of students, worldview on the issues of the origin and the limit of the world on the basis of a complex of philosophical knowledge within the framework of general cultural competences that did not become a subject of special consideration in pedagogical science. The methodology of the research is the study and analysis of guidance documents in the field of higher education, as well as research works on the formation of students, worldview in the educational process. Results. The article analyzed the key concept of “world outlook”, clarified the notion of “worldview”, gave the author,s interpretation of the concepts “students, worldview on the issues of the origin and the limit of the world”, “the formation of students, worldview on the issues about the origin and the limit of the world on the basis of a complex of philosophical knowledge.” The article named the fundamental religious principles, on the basis of which it is necessary to build work with students on the formation of their religious views. The didactic system of formation of students, worldview on the issues about the origin and the limit of the world on the basis of a complex of philosophical knowledge is offered. Conclusion. The array of philosophical knowledge is huge, it is almost impossible to exhaust. We turned to philosophical knowledge, dedicated to fundamental, eternal worldview issues about the origin and the limit of the world, since this topic fully agrees with the inner spiritual need of each person in it. The author,s didactic system proposed in the article is based on our understanding that the individual,s comprehension of the issues about the origin and limit of the world is fully possible on the basis of both the scientific component and the answers given to them by religious philosophy. When constructing the didactic system, it was taken into account that the formation of students, worldview on the issues of the origin and the limit of the world on the basis of a complex of philosophical knowledge is, in essence, reduced to forming a spectrum of their views (outlooks) of the origin and the limit of the world, namely scientific and religious views, in accordance with principles of religious studies.
