Development of students' worldview position as general culture competence on the basis of physical world outlook

Problem and purpose. The topical character of this work is determined by the task of developing general cultural competence in the students that is stated as on objective for Higher School by the Federal State Educational Standards for Higher Education (FSES HE). The purpose of the research is to substantiate and present the author's approach to the development of the students' worldview position on the basis of the physical world outlook. The methodology of the research is based on the Federal State Educational Standards for Higher Education, philosophic views on world outlook and its development as well as on studying and analyzing the accumulated pedagogical expertise concerning the development of various general cultural competences of students. The results. The works devoted to the development of various general cultural competences of students were analyzed. On the basis of the author's idea of the concept of “worldview position” the notion of “ the development of worldview position” was formulated. The stages of students ‘ worldview position development were singled out on the basis of the physical world picture as a synthesis of philosophic and scientific knowledge. Conclusion. The analysis of the issue of the development of students' various general cultural competences was based on scientific research works and articles devoted to the given theme. It was concluded that the approaches to the development of students' worldview position as a general cultural competence had been studied rather poorly in pedagogical theory and practice. And this fact indicated the complexity of the phenomenon under study. The approach to the development of worldview position of students on the basis of the physical world outlook as a synthesis of philosophic and scientific knowledge in the context of FSES for HE is presented in the article. It is based on the author's understanding of the concept of “worldview position” the essence of which is revealed through such structural elements as: the world as an integral system, viewpoints, world outlook attitude, a generalized system of knowledge.
