Formation of labor motivation in students from the “risk group” and “risk zone” through career guidance and pre-professional training

The article examines the theoretical foundations of motivating minors belonging to the “risk group” and “risk zone” to work. The practice of implementing this task is based on the subject-activity approach and the use of career guidance and pre-vocational training tools. Pre-vocational training and career guidance have a positive effect not only on the formation of a value attitude to work and motivation for work, but also on the development of personal qualities that allow for an independent, purposeful and responsible choice of profession. The authors of the article identify the causes of destructive behavior, disruptions in the construction of a correct picture of the world, pointing to external and internal factors caused by various risks that adversely affect minors and lead to destructive behavior. The theoretical analysis of the concepts included in the description of the subject-activity approach, such as hard work, subjectivity, independence, agency, and the activity approach, made it possible to identify its essential features and comprehend them in the context of organizing practical activities. It is noted that the formation of motivation for work contributes to the readiness of minors not only for professional self-determination, but also for changing the ways of their own existence in society. Possession of the theoretical aspects of the designated issue made it possible to consciously apply in practice the methods, techniques, and means of motivating minors to work during the implementation of the innovative project on the topic of “Prevention of juvenile delinquency “risk zones” and “risk groups” through career guidance and pre-vocational training in the context of additional education” on the basis of the State Budgetary Educational Institution of Additional Education “House of Student Youth “Magnet””. The study is recommended to administrative and pedagogical workers organizing pre-professional and vocational training of minors in difficult life situations.
