Formation of nanosized palladium particles in the "ligand-free" catalytic systems of the Suzuki reaction

The results of the Suzuki reaction of UV-monitoring carried out in different reaction conditions (initial reagent and catalyst concentrations, reductant and oxidant additions, temperature) make it possible to conclude that nanosized palladium particles form in the course of the reaction. For the first time detection of palladium nanoparticles based on direct in situ measurements of reaction solution (surface plasmon resonance) not requiring a work-up procedure has been conducted. The decisive role of phenylboronic acid in nanop article formation has been shown.
