Formation of scientific-teaching personnel and connection of university science with production

The author considers the tasks of the major strategic documents of the country concerning reproduction of the scientific-teaching personnel and necessity of keeping up the continuity of generations. On the basis of in-depth interviews with lecturers in the leading higher educational institutions of the country the author analyses efficiency of the government programmes aimed at reproducing scientific personnel and maintaining university science, and examines the problems concerning the relationship of science and production.
