Formation of scientific links between folklore studies and literary criticism

The article examines the issues of formation and development of Kyrgyz folklore studies and literary criticism, their mutual scientific connections with foreign science. In this regard, it is worth noting the emergence of two directions of their study: oral and written folk literature. Thus, we see that along with literary criticism, the issues of folklore studies have not remained outside the field of view of scientists. It will be considered how the emergence and development of national scientific research led to the formation of three subjects of Kyrgyz literature. It was also noted that Kyrgyz literary criticism as a form of scientific thinking will only be realized when it becomes the content of scientific activity.
