Currently, preschoolers with mental retardation need a specially organized work on the formation of prerequisites for mastering reading and writing. This article presents a pedagogical experiment on the use of kinesiological exercises in kindergarten as a method for forming prerequisites for learning literacy in preschool children with mental retardation.
