The article is devoted to the analysis of the emergence and constitution of the statehood of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic through the prism of the normative embodiment of the main institutions of the state in two Constitutions of Pridnestrovie - the first Constitution of Pridnestrovie of 1991 adopted by Parliament and approved at the IV Congress of Deputies of all levels and the second Constitution of 1995 adopted at a national referendum. The author’s gradation of the stages of Pridnestrovian constitutionalism is presented with the identification of the characteristic features of each of the 5 stages with a detailed analysis of each of them through the prism of the institutional design of public authorities. It is concluded that, taking into account the new draft law on amendments and additions to the Constitution of Pridnestrovie introduced in October 2024, the fifth stage of Pridnestrovian constitutionalism continues, characterized by a fragmentary change in the text of the Basic Law of Pridnestrovie.
