Formation of professional observation as a prevention of the victim behavior of police staff

The article provides an analysis of observation as a professionally signifcant quality, which provides an increase in the level of operational tasks solution. The existing approach, based on the formation of competencies, within which training is currently conducted in our country, involves the formation of a specialist who can adapt to the conditions of activity, respond fexibly to changes in the environment, apply existing knowledge and skills in practice, quickly learn the necessary methods of action. Achieving this goal is impossible without taking into account the psychological characteristics of the activities and the formation of those professionally important qualities that would provide the most effective solution of operational tasks. The available points of view on observability are given in order to defne this concept. It proves that professional observation is part of victimological prophylaxis.
