Innovative regional system development: experience and prospects

Fundamentals of the Russian Federation policy in the field of science and technologies development are considered in the article. The legal base of innovative activity of the Volgograd region is analyzed. Some measures of the region innovative activity development are designated. Recommendations for optimizing the government management of innovative processes at the regional level are put forward.
