The article considers the current state of the labor market in the Kaluga region as an important factor of economic security of the region. The authors outline measures aimed at reducing unemployment and increasing the level of provision of the regional enterprises with human resource, and, as a consequence, the increase in real income and welfare of the Kaluga region population.
