Development of social and professional competence in economic education: challenges and ways of solution

The article analyzes the current issues of the organization of educational activities in higher education aimed at the formation of social and professional competencies of students studying in economics. The current state of the educational process is studied, the main contradictions between the content of educational programs and the requirements of the modern labor market are revealed. The author proposes a set of measures to improve the system of specialist training, including strengthening the practical component of training, development of soft skills and adaptation of educational programs to dynamically changing economic conditions. Special attention is paid to the need to synthesize theoretical knowledge and practical skills to improve the competitiveness of graduates. The proposed recommendations can be used to modernize educational practices in the field of economic education.
