Formation of social activity of employees of the penitentiary system

The work considers social activity as one of the factors influencing the effectiveness of the organization. The article emphasizes the place of the mentoring institution, the activities of public groupings, motivation system, educational activities in the structure of work with the personnel in the institutions of the penitentiary system. The authors focus on the assessment of the level of the employees’ participation in the social life of the collective, analyze the reasons of the current situation, and also suggest recommendations for the development of their social activity.
