Formation of sociocultural competence in Russian language lessons in Kyrgyz school

This article examines the problem of developing sociocultural competence in Russian lessons as a second language. The content of the concept of “sociocultural competence” is determined, and the features of its formation in the process of teaching Russian as a second language are identified. The article provides the requirements of the Subject Standard for the Russian language in schools with Kyrgyz, Uzbek and Tajik languages of instruction for the development of sociocultural competence of students. As an example, it is proposed to develop a lesson for the 8th grade of a school with the Kyrgyz language of instruction on the topic “In the world of legends. Homogeneous parts of the sentence”.
