Formation of the soviet international security concept in the context of the cold war (1945-1964)

The article presents a new view on the formation of the Soviet international security concept at the initial stage of the Cold War; the successes and failures of the Soviet diplomacy in safeguarding national interests of the USSR have been shown. The author emphasizes that the growth of the Soviet influence in Eastern Europe and North-East Asia is explained not by the aim of the Soviet leadership to global dominance but the desire to secure the frontiers.
