Formation of ability to conduct business communication in foreign language among law students using business role-plays

The article addresses a relevant issue of foreign language teaching in non-linguistic universities. The social demand determines certain requirements for university graduates in the aspect of business communication in foreign language, which are expressed ascompetences in the Federal State Educational Standards of the Russian Federation. However, university students frequently fail to demonstrate full devotion to such minor disciplines as Foreign Language since they are not directly connected to students’ future professional activities. The research considers the set of exercises developed on the basis of business role- plays as one of the pedagogical instruments of a more efficient formation of ability to conduct business communication in foreign language among Bachelor students of non-linguistic majors. The article theoretically justifies the suggested methodology, provides the mechanism of its implementation as well as analyzes the results of the pedagogical experiment conducted on the basis of the Institute of Law of Chelyabinsk State University, Chelyabinsk, Russia.
