Formation of a strategy for the development of industrial enterprises in the cable industry

The purpose of the study is to determine the sectoral aspects of strategic management at enterprises of the cable industry. The article considers the specifics of the activities of enterprises in the cable industry. The main directions of strategic development of leading enterprises are investigated. Strategic alternatives and priority directions of the company’s development are proposed, taking into account the specifics of the industry and the stage of the enterprise’s life cycle. At the stage of creation and growth, it is recommended for cable industry enterprises to apply market development strategies (entry into foreign markets), integral growth, differentiation of activities, integrated growth, merger strategies and acquisition strategies. For the maturity stage, the most effective strategies are cost and price leadership, diversification of activities, intensive and integrated growth, mergers and acquisitions, and limited growth. For the stage of decline, strategies of mergers and acquisitions, innovation, diversification, integral growth, reduction of a number of production facilities, and entry into new markets are recommended.
