The article presents a reflexive analysis of the experience of KSPU named after V.P. Astafiev to address the challenges of attracting motivated senior school students to teaching and securing the pedagogical university's graduates in schools. The authors reveal the mechanisms to improve the image of the teaching profession for senior school students through the creation of the space of self-determination - the program of network teacher training college. Teaching internship is presented in the article as an institution of securing graduates through the mechanisms of targeted training for the order of an educational organization. The article problematizes the normative aspect of the new mechanisms.
