Formation of vacancy defects in two-dimensional structures

The work describes the formation of vacancy defects in two-dimensional structures and lists the factors that influence this process. Vacancy defects can change both the geometry and structure of the layer and its electronic states. The formation of a vacancy is presented in more detail using the example of a flat boron; calculations were performed using the semi-empirical method - MNDO.
