The attempt of linguocultural comprehension of diplomatic speech ethics XVI-XVII c. has been made. The features of formulas of speech ethics with the meaning of the agreement/disagreement in analyzed documents have been identified. Its classification has been proposed. The agreement and disagreement as a means of realization of the strategies of positive and negative politeness have been considered.
