In recent years, there has been an increase in the level of crime among minors; these circumstances raise serious concerns and require great attention. High-quality investigation of crimes committed by adolescents is a key aspect of modern law enforcement. The interaction of preliminary investigation bodies with juvenile affairs units is a pressing problem today. Officers need to analyze the characteristics of interaction, the advantages and disadvantages of different approaches. Based on the analysis of practical experience, the author offers practical recommendations for optimizing this process in order to ensure the protection of the rights of minors and the effective fight against crime among this category of population.
