Photophysical properties of nano-hybrid film structure based on quantum dots CdSe / ZnS and CdSe / CdS / ZnS

We investigated and compared the spectral characteristics and the quantum yield of quantum dots such as CdSe/ZnS and CdSe/CdS/ZnS in the films, transparent polymer matrix, as well as encapsulated in polymers. Quantum dots such as CdSe/CdS/ZnS had higher quantum yield in the film compared with CdSe/ZnS. Encapsulation of nanocrystals in polymers ensure their biocompatibility.
