Phraseological errors in modern Russian speech. Reasons for their occurrence and typology

The article deals with the errors in the use of phraseological units in the modern Russian speech, their possible causes and the most common types. The scientific literature overview has highlighted the main approaches to the definition and the essence of the phraseological units. The reasons for the phraseological errors have been named. As a result of the analysis of the card index items, two types of errors in the usage of idioms are mentioned: the formation of wrong forms or misunderstanding of idioms meaning caused by the difficulty of learning, insufficient vocabulary of native speakers or infrequent use of units; and distortion of idioms caused by the wrong ear perception of idioms (mondegrееns). The problem of the Internet influence on the creation of new phraseological units and the massive spread of errors in the use of existing idioms in the language are considered. Non-erroneous examples of the transformation of idioms in the form and content planes are given. At the end of the article, we conclude that the integrity and reproducibility of idioms in the lexical-phraseological pool of the Russian language need to be preserved.
