Phraseologisms with Locative Meaning in Russian and Kyrgyz Languages

This article discusses phraseological units with locative meaning in the Russian and Kyrgyz languages. Particular attention is paid to the comparison of phraseological units expressing spatial relationships, their imagery and national specifics. The features of their semantics, imagery and functioning are studied taking into account the cultural and national traditions of the speakers of these languages. The influence of historical, geographical and social factors on the formation and use of phraseological units expressing spatial meaning is considered. In the course of a comparative analysis, similarities and differences in the linguistic picture of the world of the two peoples are revealed.
