The study examines the complex relationship between cultural values and the selection and use of precedent phenomena in American and Kyrgyz discourse. Precedent phenomena are recurring cultural references that serve as criteria for shared understanding and identity. The study aims to identify key values and beliefs. Through comparative text analysis, common patterns are identified in these two cultures. The study may shed light on underlying cultural values. Historical narratives play a decisive role in shaping the selection of precedent phenomena.

Adaptation processes of Koreans in Surkhandaryo province

Article is devoted to the study of adaptation processes and socio-economic integration of Koreans who settled in Surkhandarya region as a result of the deportation of Koreans from the Far East to Uzbekistan SSR in 1937. Through historical and sociological methods of analysis, the article examines Koreans' contribution to agriculture, their integration into local society, and their efforts to preserve their cultural heritage. Based on archival materials, statistical analyzes are presented about the activities of the collective farm “Iskra” in Shorchi district, the production of agricultural products and labor standards. The results of the study shed light on Koreans` adaptation to the new social environment and their contributions to society.

Artificial intelligence creats polyglotts

This article explores how AI-driven tools and platforms are transforming language learning, shifting from traditional methods to more dynamic approaches. Is it possible to AI to replace traditional ways of language learning? This is one of the most breakthroughs of the 21st century, AI is a mighty engine to help learners. In a world moulded by technological advancement, people still find it difficult to communicate effectively, especially if they are learning a foreign language. This problem has now become international. Then, should we not use the advances in technology to meet this challenge? In particular we'd like to use AI to solve the language learning problems. To test the hypothesis we did a survey, the results of which were quantitative. By means of these we infer that all of the respondents, who are mostly 16-30-year-old students in Bishkek, enjoyed better fluency, pronunciation, and self-confidence by using AI-powered language learning tools. There are many kinds of software based on artificial intelligence such as Duolingo, Fully Fluent, Babbel, Memrise, and others. One of our team’s members have successfully used Fully Fluent to practice speaking and listening in one-on-one dialogues. This app actually represents a virtual conversation partner, listens and responds to keep the conversation flowing. After six months of use, communication skills have improved significantly. Based on these facts we conclude that with the tools of AI students can make up for what they lack in traditional methods and not only their conversational comprehension but speaking skills as well will improve considerably.

Big data analytics possesses the capability to process vast volumes of digital content and analyze societal sentiment trends in real time. Such analyses offer comprehensive insights and detailed models on how social awareness forms and evolves, particularly during periods of crisis. However, due to the immense, diverse, and complex nature of these datasets, traditional analytical methods often fall short, necessitating the ongoing development of novel interdisciplinary approaches and methodologies. At the same time, significant debates continue regarding the extent to which these datasets accurately represent the real world, given the existence of the digital divide and the ethical frameworks governing the collection and application of big data. This article explores the theoretical and methodological foundations of big data-driven research, the societal impacts arising from inequalities in data access, and the ethical issues that emerge during the collection and analysis of extensive datasets. The study consists primarily of secondary data obtained from existing literature, case studies, and the application of big data analytics in various research fields.

Concept of “ай”/“moon’’ in Kyrgyz and English anthroponyms

This article examines the concept of “Ай”/”Moon” in Kyrgyz and English anthroponyms. The relevance of the work lies in the study of the concept of the celestial body in the comparative aspect of the mentioned languages. The proper name is derived from the complex of factors that constitute the structure of the society of the native speakers of a given language and therefore it is an excellent object within the framework of the study of the concept. In the course of the analysis, a qualitative method was applied, which revealed that the concept of the moon is more expressed in Kyrgyz anthroponyms regardless of gender and in various combinations, while in English anthroponyms the concept appears indirectly reflecting the influence of Greek and Roman mythology.
