Frame-propositional analysis of nominal composites in “The tale of bygone years”

The frame-propositional organization of derivative words in “The Tale of Bygone Years” is analyzed. The derivatives formed by addition are considered, explicating hierarchically organized structures of knowledge. The task is to identify the basic frame-propositional structures and analyze their components, structuring the representations of the medieval man about the world. A statistical method is used to identify a group of registered composites, as well as a descriptive-analytical method to describe their frame-propositional structure. The conclusion is drawn about the structural features of the registered composites and the influence of this word-formation method on the development of thought of the ancient Slavs.
