Food sharing: new consumer practice in Russia

The conscious consumption of food, particularly foodstuffs, is becoming more and more common among Russians. The waste of food has a negative impact on the planet’s ecology. Foodsharing cannot only improve the «health of the Earth», but also helps reduce the number of hungry people in Russia, which is an important social problem. The article reviews foreign and domestic literature concerning the development of foodsharing, and presents the author’s vision of this phenomenon. The article also considers the platforms that have made foodsharing more accessible and attractive.
