The relevance of the work is due to the ambiguity and inconsistency of the opinions of linguists and the solutions they proposed regarding the systematization of complex sentences. In previous studies, complex sentences were studied mainly at the syntactic and semantic levels. Functional characteristics were understood only as intra-sentence functions that some components perform in relation to others within the framework of a complex sentence. Previously, insufficient attention was paid to the issues of referential correlation with objects of extra-linguistic reality.
