Scientific speech, as a functional style, began to be considered separately only during the period of the scientific and technological revolution, around the middle of the 19th century. For any functional style of the language, this is too short a time to talk about its established status. At the same time, an increasing amount of scientific and technical literature translated into other languages could not but attract the attention of researchers to it.
