Geo-urbanism functions in providing community’s welfare under the conditions of establishing digital ecosystems

The aim of the study carried out by the authors is to clarify the collection function of geo-urbanism as the one providing favorable living conditions for the population in accordance with the globally accepted standards. Exploring current trends in the development of digital ecosystems using the example of statistical data provided by both the UN structures and Russian sources, the authors identified the role of a new economic agent, namely public organizations and movements in controlling the parameters of a comfortable living environment, specifically, access to sources of clean drinking water. The article presents the data on the expansion of the role of self-regulating public organizations and movements as economic agents in sharing control over the public availability of information on the state of drinking water sources through the development of a publicly accessible information environment
