Functions of the category of definiteness-indefiniteness in English, Russian and Kyrgyz languages

This work is devoted to a comparative study of the category of definiteness-indefiniteness in English, Russian and Kyrgyz languages. Some ways of its implementation in speech with the help of linguistic means of different levels are reflected. In genetic terms, the languages belong to different families: English belongs to the Indo-European family, the Germanic group, Russian - to the Indo-European family, the East Slavic group, Kyrgyz - to the Altaic family, the Kipchak group of Turkic languages. The article deals with a comparative typological study of the functional, communicative and structural-semantic aspects of language categories in these languages, which have become an important part of linguistics at the present stage of development of linguistics.
