The functions of the comic speech devices in the absurdist text (on the material of E. Klyuyev's novel "Between two chairs")

The article considers the functions of the comic speech techniques, based on the paronymic attraction, in an absurdist text. The goals of the use of the paronomasia technique in the novel «Between Two Chairs» by E. Klyuev are revealed. The types of paronymic attraction and the functions of its application in the analyzed novel are determined.
