Functional brain asymmetry is studied in this article. Human intellectual activity dependence on functional asymmetry is verified based on empiric material of electroencephalography. During electroencephalography testing, three additional tests were made besides routine test variants (biological movement imitation, nonbiological movement imitation, execution of independent movements). Calculation of middle values of the brain energy consumption impulses made in symmetric points of electroencephalography readouts for all tested (51 people) revealed that correlation coefficient is over than 0.99 in 80% of cases that statistically means sameness of measuring results. But in 20%, statistical values show result mismatch in symmetric points of electroencephalography readouts of all types of waves. The conclusion about relativity of interhemispheric asymmetry is made because both hemispheres are included in realization of the same exercises and take part in the same activity. Left hemisphere is not only logically active but also functions in emotionally-sensitive phase of activity (among right-handed people). And vice versa, by repeated execution of the same exercises, the increase of neuron impulse wave’s amplitude begins to prevail. Such excitation (neuron impulses’ mu-rhythm or the rhythm of so called “idle run”) means that the brain energy consumption is switched from one hemisphere to another: according to the law of correlation between inhibitory dominant and excitations the plastic reactivity in a neural network is possible only when a significant range of neuron system is inhibited. Therefore, the functional asymmetry’s role is more significant then the role of interhemispheric asymmetry. The spontaneous brain neurons’ activity, which is connected with cognitive intellective activity, springs from desynchronization of the emotionally-sensitive activity. Consequently, energy is expended not on the action itself, but on the providing related appropriate background conditions for it - life support rhythms suppression.
