Functional literacy of schoolchildren in the context of digital transformation of education

In an intensively transforming educational environment, the concept of functional literacy has become of paramount importance. Moreover, the relevant theoretical positions and views of scientists go beyond the simple acquisition of knowledge; the ability to apply the formed and developed skills and knowledge for effective management of various life situations is emphasized. So, it gives students the opportunity to freely transfer their achievements in skills and knowledge to the practical plane. As a result, the formation of comprehensively developed, adaptable, self-sufficient personalities takes place. In the article, the author analyzes the modern aspects of the formation of functional literacy in schoolchildren. The specifics of this area are considered, taking into account the digitalization observed today.
