The studies were performed in 26 patients with spine deformities and unilateral shortening of the lower limb at the age of 12-21 years (17±1.44 years). Both electromyography and echosonography were peformed. It has been revealed that unilateral shortening results in pelvis deviations out of the middle vertical, leads to tonus redistribution of paravertebral muscles and lower limb muscles, it means: on the side of shortening the tonus of paravertebral muscles, that of the posterior group of femoral muscles is higher, and the tonus of the anterior group of leg muscles is lower. The continued functional overloading of muscles leads to appearing trigger points in them.
