Functional status of the upper limb for congenital developmental anomalies of the forearm bones

Decrease extent of muscular contractility, regional blood flow and skin integument temperature were determined in the process of the forearm shape and length correction in patients with congenital club hand. The treatment resulted in equalization of the forearm lengths, temporary elevation of skin integument temperature in all the limb segments, increase of circulation rate and forearm circumference. The lengthening achieved was preserved, blood supply indices were normalized and approached the initial level in the long-term periods after treatment.
