Functionning of lexical elements of substandard speech in The witcher 3: wild hunt game

This article presents the research on the functions of substandard speech in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt game. The definition of substandard speech was given, the lexical elements included in the concept were considered. The analysis of substandard elements in characters' speech was held for the purpose of finding out the functions of this lexical type in the game text.
