Mythological plots functioning in the context of the mass media space of the novel "Generation "P"

In the context of the postmodern text the special importance is gained by mythological plots and motives which are reinterpreted by modern writers. The main sources of novelistic mythology and also mechanisms of interaction of mythological motives and subject lines in the novel by V. Pelevin "Generation "P" which form a basis of formation of virtual reality as process of connection of mythological and realistic plots of the novel become a subject of the analysis. In wider context creation of virtual reality becomes result of creative reconsideration by the writer of the difficult socio-political situation which has developed at the end of the XX century in Russia.
