The functioning of the parasitic system of opisthorchid in a metropolis

The total infestation of domestic carnivores in the city of Novosibirsk (according to the results of post-mortem studies) was 15 %, while the level of infestation in cats, compared with dogs, is almost 2 times higher - 18.1 and 10.7 %, respectively. According to the results of intravital and post-mortem studies in the city districts, the highest EI in cats was noted in the Sovetsky, Kirovsky and Kalininsky districts, and in dogs - in the Kirovsky and Sovietsky districts of Novosibirsk. These areas are marked with the highest rates of human morbidity. In the Ob River, within the city, a high level of infection of ide (71.8 %) of commercial sizes was revealed. Small cyprinids in urban water bodies are also infected with opisthorchids. They found metacercariae of 3 opisthorchid species: O. felineus, M. bilis, and M. xanthosomus.
