Guarantees of the legal status of citizens participating in the conduct of operational-search activities

In the article, the authors examine in detail the problem of the legal protection of citizens participating in the conduct of covert operational-search activities, raise questions about the legislator's unreasonable prejudice against the categories of persons who should be guaranteed such legal and social protection. The analysis of scientific works and legislative normative acts, the study of the opinion of operational officers led to the conclusion that it is necessary to form in the operational-investigative legislation the institution of security measures for persons assisting the bodies carrying out the operational-search activity; identify the units that can most optimally carry out such protection, and propose a change in the rules regarding the mechanism for ensuring the security of persons involved in the conduct of the ORM, and their families, as well as the list of security measures.
