In hydraulic systems of various technical objects and machines, pulsation dampers are often used. The paper analyzes the dampers of various principles of action and distinguishes passive dampers. All known schemes of passive dampers are combined in 5 groups and are presented in the structure of the generalized scheme in the form of independent cells of different levels of complexity. Combinations of these cells form different schemes dampers. The proposed classification of pulsation dampers allowed to determine the main options for the development of basic designs of devices: longitudinal and transverse. The results of calculations of characteristics of some damper scheme and their analysis are given in the paper.
