Gastronomic tourism in Russia: specific features and prospects

The article discusses the basic concepts associated with the industry of gastronomic tourism - one of the modern and popular areas of tourism in general, as well as the current state of gastronomic tourism in the Russian Federation. The purpose of the work is to identify and identify key areas of gastronomic tourism, as well as the most popular destinations in this segment, for the further development of tourism and increasing the tourist attractiveness of not only individual regions, but the whole country. The analysis of the main directions of gastronomic tourism was carried out with the identification of their features and attitude to food as the main motive for choosing a trip. To analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the efforts made by the regions of the Russian Federation in the field of gastronomic tourism, statistical and economic-mathematical methods were used, a linear regression model with a variable structure was proposed and built. Conclusions are drawn about the prospects for the development of gastro-tourism as domestic tourism and the tourism industry as a whole.
